Death of Colin Chapman

WRRC members will doubtless be saddened to learn of the death after a lengthy period of illness of long standing member Colin Chapman. Colin's widow Diana emailed to give us the news that Colin had passed away peacefully on 30th July. His funeral is on Friday, 7th August at twelve noon at Burbage Parish Church (St Catherines), near Hinckley, and afterwards at the Cross Keys for a buffet lunch. Colin's interest was particularly in the Taff Vale Railway and he had several books published (including The Aber Branch published by the WRRC) and numerous articles dealing with various aspects of the company's history.
